Kristen Plylar-Moore, M.S.Ed., A/OGA

I am an educator and songwriter. I hold a Master of Science in Education from The City College of New York, a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Drama from the University of Oklahoma, and I am an Associate Orton-Gillingham practitioner. I have been an educator for over 20 years. For 10 of those years, I taught theater at the Stephen Gaynor School, an independent school in New York City for children and teens with language-based learning challenges. Additionally, I served as a writing specialist at Metropolitan College of New York, working with adult learners to develop their academic writing skills. 

Julia Ostrov, LMSW, A/OGA

I am an educator with a background in social work and music. I hold a Bachelor of Arts in Comparative Literature from Brown University, a Master of Social Work from the Silberman School of Social Work at Hunter College, and have been published in social work journals, including the Journal of Sociology & Social Welfare. I am an Associate Orton-Gillingham practitioner, certified by the Orton-Gillingham Academy, the organization that establishes and maintains professional and ethical standards for practitioners and educators of the O-G approach for the treatment of dyslexia.
